Default Vortech V-2 Oil leak

I have a rev-up V-2, the oil is shooting out of the bypass valve. I took off the intake from the blower and there is oil on the impeller blades. Would replacing the input shaft seal be the culprit?

It might; it a common issue with Vortech blowers after a certain amount of wear...if I where you I would replace all the seals, if you will be replacing one anyway, and while you're at it consider replacing the bearings as well...a typical rebuild by Vortech usually goes for $300-$600 dollars...

do you have the stock vortech setup where the crankcase vent hose is attached to the filter in front of the supercharger?

If so then it could be bypass oil from the engine valve cover venting into the impeller blades. This is also a common problem. I would pull that hose off and check to see if oil is in it before worrying about a rebuild.

Also, if you just recently recharged your filter with oil that can be sucked into the blower causing some oil to come out of the bypass.

I would take off the charge pipes, clean them, clean the BPV, pull off the crankcase vent hose and clean it out really well and put it back together and run it. Then check it after a week to see if oil is coming from the crankcase vent hose into the filter. If not then you need a seal replacement on the blower.

I already ordered the input shaft seal and o-ring for the blower, I'm going to clean the bpv and replace seals and go from there first. Replacing the bearings is a little out of my league without a press. Also there seems to be a boost leak, car is only pushing 3 psi instead of the 7 psi. Hopefully this will fix that. Thanks for the input fellas.
