04 350z turbonetics Single tuning question
ok so my pops 350z turbo was built in 2004 and tuned by a great shop in PA they were very knowledgable and i have no complaints they tuned it at 8lbs boost car was making like 400hp to the wheels. so my problem is my pops hadnt drove the car as much as he was kus he had 2 more kids. ounce he was ready to get the car back on the road he took it back to that shop they closed but gave us a recomendation. so we took it to this other guy who claimed he would retune the car and replace the radiator fan. heres wear i think this guy is full of it. he now claims the car if making 6.5lbs boost but its making more power?? less boost=more power... doesnt seem legit does it?? i have lots of complaints bout the guy but i wanted every ones coments on the whole less boost more power question.
i do belive that they got 400 to the wheels they used a dynopak dyno maybe thats fudges the #s?? i hate tuners i gave up on them years ago with my GSXR's and decided to do my own tuning with a data logger and dyno jet softwear i found real world tuning was great.

OP, chances are without knowing how the tune was before and now there is no real significant change. You could have have had a crappy tune at 8psi and now a really good one at 6.5psi and make the same power. Problem is there are too many variables to know this, you haven't provided enough information in terms of who the hell even tuned the car before and after. What kind of dyno's were used, what kind of elevations you were at, etc...
Best thing to find a tuner and stick with them. Not bounce around. If your bouncing around, then the first one was never worth being with in the first place.
