Default Twin Turbo Fuel System ideas?

I've searched around and can't seem to get any unbias, intelligent ideas on the route i should take (including the stickys).

Here's the ad on the engine i bought.
https://my350z.com/forum/engine/5575...nd-vq35de.html

I've yet to open the motor and make sure it has all the parts claimed in the ad, but that will be done soon. Hope i didn't get screwed; the engine was picked up with most bolts removed from the from timing cover and just enough holding it on. Unexpected and rather sketch in my worrysome opinion.

I also got a used Greddy 18G twin turbo kit. One of the turbos was seized, so i sent them both to get up'd to 20g's. The kit came with a TurboXS Utec and Aeromotive FPR with partial lines.

I ended up "borrowing" the Walbro pump from my '97 VR4, the twin turbo kit i got came with a Fuel Pressure Regulator, and i bought DW 850cc injectors from a member on here (who's also helping me put the motor/turbos in). So currently, i have a 255 pump, Aeromotive FPR, and 850cc injectors.

Here's the FPR that came with the Twin Turbo kit. The braided line was cut off upon removal, so at least 1 line will be needed.

With that said, what will i need to support my goal of 625 RWHP? I know i'm gonna have to do something with the heads, and that may sway my current HP goals, but i'm going at this all-out like i will be able to afford the head work (giggidy). 1 min i'm wanting the cheapest route possible; the next i'm wanting CJ Motorsports' Stage 3 kit.

If you've made it this far, thanks for reading my rambling. Any knowlegable input would be greatly appreciated. I'm just tired of being so up in the air about the route to take.

I would go with the CJM stage 3 for sure. I just got a FRS from them and they are awesome. Super fast shipping and great service. You can call them and tell them what parts you have and they can supply you with whatever else you need, you dont have to buy a full kit if you already have parts...

Thanks for the input. I'll contact them, but remain open to anyone wanting to get rid of a fuel system.

+1 on CJM I ran a modified stage 1 on my stockblock build and have never had a single issue.

+1! I started with the CJM Stage 2 w/ Aeromotive 340lph pump but ended up getting the CJM Twin Pumps, essentially a CJM Stage 3 system.

Thanks, guys. I'd like to get the CJM stage 3 and give all the parts i've saved to the VR4, but $2,000 for a fuel system?

yep.
fuel system, is what limits your power when you have a built engine.

Cams as wella s huge fuel is the way to go.

i ahve neither and run a cjm stage 0 and expect 550 or so tops w a huge turbo 6266 cea.. room to grow later i guess.

you already have a regulator. all you need is the return correction kit that CJM sells and a set of rails and some -AN lines.

Might as well just build it yourself.

Yeah seriously.
Building a fuel system should not cost 2 grand lol.
I spent around $600-700 on mine. Although I didn't use stainless lines.
The only complicated part is the fuel hanger for most setups.
But I'm guessing OP doesn't know how to correctly build a fuel system (no offense).
Give dynosty a call, they carry pretty much all the fuel system companies iirc, and they have a few stock hanger solutions. They'll easily help you pick something in your budget/power range.

No offense taken. I really DON'T know much about upgraded fuel systems, which is why i'm asking for input. I really appreciate everyone giving me ideas.

I remember walking into Forged Performance with a buddy who wanted a Twin Turbo build and was aiming for 500HP. The guy at the front replied without hesitation "That'll be $30-32,000". As i continue to build my car, i let that reverberate in my mind; personally bc i think it's complete bullstuff. (Granted, the guys there drive GT-R's).

So far, witout a complete fuel system solution or chasis stability (motor mounts/bushings), i'm $5,000 into it (including a built motor with complete upgraded Twin Turbo system. Tha'ts *just* a bit shy of the 30,000 that the guy with the GT-R at Forged quoted, so i don't think i'm doing that bad.

Keep the ideas coming. I really appreciate it.

does that include wheels and tires, clutch, exhuast? even getting everything used its highly unlikely your even close to finished for that price. 30-32k for that power level also sounds perfectly normal your completely forgetting labor, which in a build like that makes up around 50% of the cost, i actually got quotes and for everything i have done to my car i would have been looking at about 50k-55k

I have a very reputible/knowlegable fellow Z owner assisting me with the installation. He's charging $1,500

gotta remember thats for all NEW parts... makes a HUGE price differences. Turbo kit alone is more then the 5000 you spent.

I did a mix of new / used on my build and didnt build my motor and was still up there in price. I didnt remember what i spent on just my TT buidl but for EVERYTHING on my car im in the 35k range

At new prices being conservative,

7k for turbo kit
2k for clutch and flywheel
2k for fuel system
.5k for injectors
.5k for osiris
1k for tune
5k for labor
9k for built motor
1k for gauges

+ acesories and misc and other stuff you may need to support it IE Bushings, rear diff, etc etc

thats 28k on the light side of things if you just walk into a shop... labor and what parts you want will of course vary that price. 30k is not a crazy price.

I only make $500/week (ghetto-baller) and personally choose to search eBay and Craigslist for stuff i need. I know; "It's used and potentially......" but it's a financial choice i made. I like getting things cheaper, plus i personally prefer to "stimulate the economy" by giving my hard-earned money to someone selling stuff to keep their house versus to a company so they can buy a $90,0000 sport car and write it off on taxes as a "company vehicle".

I got the Greddy 18g twin kit for $1,800 b/c one of the turbo's were seized. I didn't mention anything but i was glad it had a huge impact on the price b/c i was going to up them to 20g CHRA's anyway.

I may end up getting slammed on here, but i am serious about a twin turbo build. I'm not on here trying to brag; i'm on here using verifiable examples that retail isn't always the mandatory route.

I made up my mind and am just gonna get the CJM stage 3. It'll honestly be the first thing in my build i'll pay retail for.

I got my turbo kit used as well, not slamming you for buying used, everyone has their budget. was just trying to put in perspective the 30-32 number that the shop threw out was nowhere near overpriced.

Best of luck with your build. It will make for a fun car for sure!

SP is selling a 1200whp clutch for only $1500.

Get a CJM stage 0 kit, fuel rails and DW 300+ fuel pump.
