if youre on a budget, let me break it down. ive had sp triple pump, pain in the ***, lots of lines, and expensive. i hear great things about cjm twins, plus charles just kicks *** from past trades, etc. im running a fuel cell now, and my setup cost about 800 total, with new parts. of course you can always stick a 340lph pump in your oem bucket, and still hit your hp goal.

my set is as follows-mind its on the ls1 in my z, but same setup basically:
15 gal cell and sending unit-180
2 walbro 255 inlines-180
rails-200 (+/-)
regulator (which you have)
fittings-$150
hose (pushlock)-30

$720-obviously getting used stuff is cheaper. check out siliconeintakes.com for fittings, they are cheap.

Just send Charles an email or call him. Tell him what you have and he will give you a good price on what you need left to have a good fuel system. He won't force you to buy a whole kit when you already have working parts.

About your hp goal. You will not need heads. People have gotten up into the 700hp range on stock heads/cams. I would recommend some cams but heads are a waste of money for anything under 800hp on these platforms. They really won't net any extra hp and the cost is high. It's not like a domestic that will pull an extra 50-100 hp just on head porting. You will essentially get nothing but what you will gain is the ability to make power over 800hp. Since your goal is below that I wouldn't waste the money. I would prefer not to have my headwork so my power curve would be in the lower RPM range for street use.

Yeap! I did my heads and my powerband move to the right. But I still think it will be fun.

People are making +500whp with just a fuel pump and injectors.

The only thing is missing from the stage 1 is the fuel rails.

OP, do you want 625whp on pump gas, C16 or E85?

ya, i said 500-550. That's not 625. I haven't seen anything break 600 with the stock tiny hard line. It's 5/16 ID which is way too small for high flow.

Mine dropped off at 507. I just went straight to the twin pump since I was switching to e85.

Upgraded supply line, larger rails and one of the new large single pumps would break 600 on pump.

Pump. I will not be using race gas OR meth, as it was a personal promise when starting the project. I know this is a serious build, but it's still somewhat street-worthy. Race gas and meth is NOT in my opinion.

BTW; thank you all for chipping-in on your insight. It's interesting to have real-life stories instead of talking-out-the-culo wishful thinking.

Why no race gas? Have you researched Shell's UTR Unleaded race fuels? Been showing better results than C16 and other leaded race fuels.

It's so easy to give into temptation and go all-out on this, but i keep wanting to stress the fact my build is centered around 1 word; STREET.

I know 600hp isn't technicaly "Daily Driver" power, but running race gas or meth or anything like that is to lose sight of my goal to remain as much a street car as possible while having 575-625 hp.
