Default RFS options

Any of you HR guys use the cjm rfs? All the builds I have read, have used the gtm setup. The cjm kit has a custom fitting that can replace one of the pulsation dampeners with an outlet to the regulator. Or they offer a spacer like the gtm kit supplies. Should I just get the spacer and call it a day? With the spacer, I can not use the lower portion of the engine cover.

I've use CJM on my 350z and my friend 370z build and can't say one thing negative about their products. I made 600rwhp so far on my car and my friends stock block 370 is a little over 500rwhp. I would say you are completely safe using the CJM products.

So does it matter which dampener you remove or do remove both at the rear on both sides to maintain even pressure?

dampers do not effect pressure. they smooth it out.

I guess what I'm trying to ask is, which method is better? The spacer or the custom fitting to replace a dampener?

Right they're supposed to control the pulsation in the fuel so if you just remove one from one fuel rail then theoretically it would adversely affect that one fuel rail and injectors while the other injectors on the other fuel rail with two dampeners will remain normal. So this would make me think a tuner might not see consistent spray patterns from one side of the fuel rail.

Now if you took off the rear dampener on both sides and used a Y fitting going into the FPR, then both sides would at least be equal.

Dampers create better pressure consistency in part throttle (for some builds) and also noise reduction. Some members have had serious issues with their light throttle tuning with damper delete, others not. Better safe than sorry.

That's what I was thinking and would go with the spacer block that GTM uses for their RFS. I would much rather buy from CJM though haha
