Default Need advice on price to sell my car

I have a 2003 350Z, ~70k miles with Vortech V3 SC (for last 15K miles of the car), with Volksracing tires, springs, swaybars, Nismo LSD/Clutch, alarm, aftermarket stereo etc.

I have a kid so the wife is really asking me to sell the car. I'm debating if I should just keep the car and get a sedan, or sell it and get that sedan...

I haven't obviously put all the details of the car since I don't want to make this a classified thread, but wanted to see roughly what I can realistically get for this car if I sell it privately. Carmax and dealerships are giving me waaay too little for what I think the car is worth.

I've checked out the market place on the site and there're a LOT of variations in pricing and what people are asking for.

Roughly, what do you guys think I can get for this car (norther Cali.) 15K? 10K, more, less?? Wanted to see a rough starting point to see if it's worth going through posting the car for sales, etc.

Thanks, I know this is a very general post, but I'm looking for a ballpark point to start with.

Cheers

Dealers like carmax don't give a crap what you put into it... They will give you low to medium bluebook and no more generally...

The best thing you can do, if you kept the stock parts, is to part it out and sell them seperately and then sell the car back in stock from. It may take additional time and effort but you will get more $$ back out of it in the long run.

Obviously, and especially on a car like that, dealers will pay very little - they're in this for business, not the passion of cars. I sold a $12,000 truck a year after buying it and it took 4 days of walking out on the salesperson just to get them to cut me a check for $7,500.

Clean Retail (NADA) est. around $13,500 PLUS your mods.

Start at $15,750

Anymore than that I think people would probably just buy an HR.

your best bet is to part it out, sell the parts seperately

price it as if its not modded at all. or put it back to stock price it the same and make a little extra off the parts like the SC kit
