+10000000000000000000000....or suffer the fate of obnxiously loud and unreliable high power builds, as many of us have been through...

I miss my reliable, stealthy, and yet fun 400whp stock block setup

I was looking at a G35 with the Vortech kit on it. The owner has the composite front cut to fit the filter in it. Can you get your filter onto the front of the charger easily? Is your front trimmed at all for the filter? It doesn't look it in the photos. It looks like it's the factory size......which is good.

thanks

I followed vortech's instructions and put the filter in before I bolted the supercharger and bracket in, I did not cut or trim anything to make it fit, the G35 could be different but I don't think you have to cut to make the filter fit.

sounds smart, I don't want to give the link to the dude, but the car is for sale, when I looked at it, that is what was done. I know the owner didn't do it. It was done at a shop. It's sad that they did it that way.

Either way, yours certainly looks nice.

Congrats on the awesome numbers! As well, it's always good to hear things about a company going the extra mile!

Don't make me regret upgrading to a bigger build.

Thank you! I agree it is sad that they had to trim or cut just to get the filter in, maybe they didn't have the instructions to go by because that is one of the first steps in vortech's instructions.

I have a rubber elbow coming off the t trim blowers 3.75 down to 3 in, 90 degree up to my hood latch, emblem. Its sort of like the power labs turbo kit. Yes i slightly bent my ac line <be extremely careful). Also with big power comes tons of movement on the engine. I was popping the hose off. So now i had solid motor mounts and a custom sc to frame brace. I was bending the rev up bracket until high boost levels.
Currently 545.3/440 on a dyno danmics, im sure im at 600 on a dynojet. I pulled a c5 Corvette that was SC and claim 515rwhp. With the weight diff i have to be 600+ on the dyno he used from the way i pulled on him.

Larger crank vs stock
2.62 928 pulley vs 928 3.0
28 sc cog pulley vs 30

C16 race gas.. Shooting for 730, 600+on 93

Switching jobs so give me a few weeks to recover from the holidays

Looks good. Similar to what I am going for. I will be using a 3.12 pulley and no headers.

How loud is the car with the headers, hfc and exhaust?
