highly recommended at the very least. in event of a roll over and/or ruptured tank and/or fire... a thin layer of sheet metal can make all the difference.

So everything is ready to go, I just need an ECU and it should start up. I have completed my spreadsheet for ECU pin out to the MS3 pro module and I'm using the 14point7.com SLC OEM module as my wideband controller. the Modules are on back order for another week so I'll have a week or so to wait but I'll have everything else ready to go.

never even occurred to me that the MS3 pro didn't have internal wideband drivers. Its really not that great of a deal then.

definately interested in seeing how time consuming it will be to make the SLC boards. Was gonna go MS3pro route for a LM7 swap.

The SLC comes assembled. I just have to run 8 wires, follow two calibration procedures and it's done. It's very simple. I'm finishing up the ECU this weekend and the car should be running on Monday or Tuesday.

ok, the evk lets you run 12V into the module as well as having it fused.

the oem is just the board, so you gotta supply regulated 5V. Ya looks easy once i looked over the manual.

So the car started right up on the first turn of the key yesterday. video at www.facebook.com/seomotorsports I'm just starting to put the front end back together and hoping to drive it in a few weeks because I still have to figure out the intercooler and charge piping.

To be honest the best part of how it sounds is how it idles with the cams. It sounds so sweet; it sounds amazing revving too. The video sound quality does not do it justice.

I got the front end back on but unfortunately I have to pull the intake manifold off and modify it for better TB placement. I'm also going to swap out the compressor housing for a straight outlet. I did get the A/C and PS lines all hooked up.

Good work!

The VR6 is one of the few 6 cylinders that sounds better than a VQ.

Here is a shot of the intake manifold after I modified it. This leaves the throttle body in a perfect position for a 45deg silicone coupler to go through the factory opening in the front core support. I ordered the couplers and t-bolt clamps I need tonight and they should arrive around the same time the intercooler is done. Tomorrow I plan to cut and re-weld the turbo compressor housing outlet to point where I need it and then it should be good to go. I also need to come up with a solution for the coolant hoses to the radiator. I'm thinking custom hard piping with silicone couplers if I can't find a rubber hose solution.

I was having issues calibrating the map sensor and finally figured it out today. Here's a little video of the exhaust, still not as good as in person.

It was only me at the shop so I could not get a video of it revving with my phone. Maybe tomorrow

Are you gonna leave it with the single exit or do a dual muffler or true dual?

It's a 3.5" aluminum exhaust coming off of a single turbo so no "true dual" exhaust possible and I like the single look.

Thank you, it's been a long hard project but well worth it.

I finished the intercooler and all the charge piping and took the car for a little ride and I must say it's a nice feeling after all the hard work. The best part off all is it's not loud in the car like you would expect with a 3.5" exhaust. I'm blown away by this.
