Well, I wasn't saying it was a problem but just pointing out the differences. With the gopro under my car on the dyno with 2 squirrel cage fans my hot side got to the point where it was glowing red on just single gear pulls. That's way too hot for me to want it 6" from my engine and hood. So a turbo blanket would be needed. Hell, my hood already gets hot enough to burn your hand if you touch it in the summer.

Buy a whole diff and just swap them. Tearing the insides out isn't easy to do and you will need a shim kit to get proper alignment. Way more hassle than it's worth and used diffs aren't that expensive. $300ish

At 460whp/wtq, my tranny lasted about 7-8 months before it started slipping. Expect to upgrade yours in the future.
