Plugging EGT gauge probe fitting

Plugging EGT gauge probe fitting
My exhaust manifolds were already tapped for a DEFI EGT probe. I've been waiting around for some other priorities to clear in order to fund my gauges, but in the mean time that means I can't finish assembling the top of my motor.
I'd really love to get everything put together so I can start the car up. I don't mind taking the intake back off (if necessary) to install the gauge later, but I don't want hot exhaust shooting out of a hole in the mean time. Is there any way I can cap off the fitting?
Here's is the fitting I believe is already tapped in:
Defi 1/8PT Fitting for EGT Sensor
Part #: PDF01105G
which is here:
http://www.jscspeed.com/catalog/Defi...nts-683-1.html
I don't have the part which secures the probe into the fitting. I just want to plug it for now, until I get the gauges in.
I'm thinking this might work:
http://www.amazon.com/NPT-Female-Bra.../dp/B0081TNS2E
It's $2, so I'm going to go ahead and order it and try. But I was hoping someone might be able to confirm or suggest something different.
As a side note, I honestly don't mind permanently sealing it and foregoing the EGT gauge all together, but I'd like to save the "feature" if possible.

Taking a second look, I think it might actually be tapped with .
But the middle piece is tapped into the manifold, not welded onto the piece on the left.
I'm also going to try just removing the fitting, and putting in it's place. It doesn't look like it's welded at all.
Both the solutions are < $5 so might as well give it a shot.

defi uses all 1/8NPT, so you just need a 1/8NPT plug
i would personally get one with a hex head like this
instead of the allen key head. More surface area to grab onto, since they will like to seize into the header once heat cycled a few times. Plus its stainless steel so it wont rust over time
