Think he can provide a quote on the tubed radiator support, and the intercooler connectors.

Default Insulating fender wells

I thought about rubberizing the tire side fender wells for sound deadening while leaving the AL side towards the engine compartment...we will see....tks for the info, herrschaft!

Default Fender liners

The primary reasons for wanting the fender liners were:

1. able to vent it as I want.
2. able to put "access" doors for the air filters on the corners of the liners so
the bumper doesnt have to be removed to clean/change filters (even
though I am putting the quick diconnect bumper on).
3. may look cool/different (haven't seen anyone with them).
4. paintable/coatable

Default Tim

LOL! I hear ya man...i have him send me photos of everything he does then I have him modify it if I don't like the deign/fit etc...Dude does have some mad AL welding and manufacturing skills....can;t say as to why the fit was so poor on your can......Tim is spread thin...I wish he could stay in the shop where his skills shineand delegate the office work.

Seems he does all the AL welding and the other guys do mild steel/chromoly..least thats what he passed on to me....

Can't wait to see what he has in mind for the trunk/battery-fuse box/water-meth tank cover.

He says that there is a company that makes the AL fender liners that need only minor modification to fit and cheap, like 50 bux each so we will see how that progresses as well.

SUPPOSEDLY I will have new pics soon of all components in the engine compartment assembled for fitment before coatings by Monday...we'll see.

Does not look like enough room between filters and tires...

Yep, I guess fabrication and design are two different skill sets.

Cool room

actually, several of the phots appear to not show a correct perspective. When I view the same part from a different perspective, there is plenty of room.

i am anxious to see how this turns out. i have a SFR kit and hate the intake piping setup. It looks sloppy as ****. i tell people all the time, the kit displays beautiful craftsmanship(welds, materials etc.) but the fitment sucks! Regardless i am still a supporter of tim since he has always helped when needed and he puts out very innovative products.

Default intake pipes

Tim altered some of the GTM parts-charge pipe only slightly, and 2 hot sides only slightly...both intakes were custom and rerouted completly for fewer bends and his patented couplers...he actually ran the pipes as I told him I wanted so if it's bad it's my fault...i wanted all the piping low and out of the engine compartment for extra room...whereas GTM's air inlets come UP off the turbo intakes, these go DOWN first and stay low..less couplers that way and easier install removal for the future...I will say, everytime i wanted something Tim wlded or designed, he changed it to what I wanted, moving brackets, routing piping, can placement etc......

I would say that if you have idea as to how you would like something, and not buying a premade part, Tim is very amenable to a customer's needs...I have him send me mock ups first before he does final welds so I can nix it or OK it....Each IC pipe now has only 2 pieces, with the air filter pipes having no connectors.

I listen to his ideas but he ultimately listens to mine. Hope to have final assembly photos before coatings Monday.

Anyone ever had an coating done by olympia coatings in escondido? they don't have color charts except for flat black and polished silver (LOL).
Looking at the shelby mag ceramic coating for a few parts...says lighter silver/gold look with the best thermal properties....havent gotten them to respond for color samples as of yet......

What up Daryl? Just got back from SFR and thought I would send a pic of your ride. Every time I go down I'm blown away man. I see you have been keeping Tim busy as hell.

Default Update

parts are on the way to Olympic in Escondido for coatings/powdercoating. Tim is building some new AL fender liners and putting in a series of louvers to vent hot air out...Also gives me a paintable surface.

Any ideas on color guys?

Maybe in the distant future I'll sell the wheels..right now I'm just trying to get her together..My REAL ole lady looks much better than that! LOL!

Hopefully they aren't like 6 months backed up...

he's getting things done, just hearing about hungover employees and such..LOL! parts were sent off...guess Im just picky about how I want things done.....where to put brackets, what color to coat etc etc.....

Im hoping that end of the week parts are back then MAYBE it wont be too long until we get photos of the assembled package...he's still going to relocate the battery to the trunk and make the special AL palte/door for access to the W/M and battery, so there are little things to do...Guess it goes with the custom territory!

The other tech issues were with GTM or at least those were the statements given to me by Sam at the time..His employees defied any medical/life insurance tables I have ever heard of! Every week it was a different issue with that guy..plus he's a thief and a liar...And a shitty engine builder at that.....i can only imagine what will happen when that thing is started for the first time....maybe his techs should have stayed home hungover instead of coming to work and building a non clearanced block for a stroker.....AND never turning the engine over once!!! talk about stupid....DUMBASSES....Get That Money.....'nuff siad
