350z s/c vs 5.0 stang
alright so I just recently got a 350z vortech couple months ago my mods are hfc,headers,td borla,5/16 spacer and vortech is on 3.33 pulley n ss box . So my dad had a 2009 Mustang GT Auto with a couple mods I/e/h and programmer said he could take me he was wrong took him by good bus length off the line and roll lol told him step your game up woke up yesterday morning to see a lime green 2013 5.0 6mt parked behind my z lol I know what these 5.0 are capable of hung with a 2011 auto from a roll but off the line lost about 3 cars . My question is if I upgrade to a 3.12 pulley and re tune can I hang or maybe beat him ?? don't want to waste the money on a retune pulley nd fuel pump at the moment if I don't have a chance lol also thinking about getting a x pipe installed too get some low end back also a friend was telling me to change the tooth count up he has a vortech gt said can make boost faster or something like that thanks to anyone that helps or throws some advice my way .
First off take it to a track so you can accurately see how fast OVERALL a car is. Doing highway pulls doesn't prove anything. Go to a road course and that's where you can really tell if a car AND driver is faster.
Another tidbit. You should calculate the power to weight ratios of each car then look at the AREA under the curve of each cars dyno. If power to weight ratios aren't similar at all then the race won't be similar. Make sense?
