Default Fuel Rail Options For Return Setup

Hello Everyone!

I am swapping a VQ into an S13 chassis. I needed some help in the fuel department. Since the S13 already has a return system setup, it's only natural for me to set it up on the VQ.

This is a budget build and I do not want to upgrade injectors unless it's needed.

I have a few questions about the different options.

1) The fuel rails I am looking at only fit 10.5-11mm Injectors. Does anyone know the size of the OEM injectors and if they will fit 10.5-11mm fuel rails?

2) If I can't use OEM injectors with aftermarket rails I need to modify the stock rail to accept an aftermarket FPR. Does anyone know of a company that makes a compatible "FPR regulator adapter" that fits on OEM fuel rail?

The AAM kit has a 'fuel rail AN adapter' but they will not sell it outside of the kit. You can see it pictured below

Tomei makes FPR adaptors that fit some Nissan setups. This setup seems easiest and allows you to use 1/8" NPT to AN for an aftermarket FPR. Does anyone know the dimentsions of the OEM FPR? I don't have the OEM FPR to take measurements. see images below.

Tomei measurements:

compatibility per Tomei:
RB26DETT
RB20DET
RB25DET
SR20DET
VG30DETT

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Default return system components

Have a look at the stage 0 components that Charles @ CJM offers.

cjm makes the fuel rail adapter. I ordered one from ebay that is blue just like that picture. It was for a nissan skyline and fit perfectly on the backside of the oem rails.

What injectors are you planning on using? If you are using the vq35 plenum then deutchwerks, rc, precision, ID will all fit in those rails and still clear the plenum. Most domestics will fit the rails but sometimes are too big of diameter and hit the plenum. With a lower manifold spacer you can make them fit as well though.

I had pretty much the same dilemma. In the end, I went with these:

My DW injectors fit.

Use the stock ones with that fitting and then get one of the listed brands. Most of them (if not all) work with the stock ecu as they're high impedance. Although I'm not 100% sure at least a few of them should also work straight up with the stock harness. If not just head here : http://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/ind...7uoce1vgcf44u1 (credit to link goes to jerryd) and look around to find what you need.

Thanks for all the info!! I am trying to stay as stock as possible since (stock for stock) VQ>SR for an S13.

I have decided to go with the Tomei FRA and pair it up to their Type-S FPR.
