Awesome build thread, man! I always appreciate it when someone takes nice quality pics of each step. I'm like Jeff, I'll skip meals just to finish a project, definitely no time for a camera, haha.

One thing I noticed, though...it looks like you don't have a plenum spacer? Maybe you F/I guys don't need it, but I always thought it was a good idea regardless because it balances flow. Anyways, have fun. I'm jealous.

Nice write up. I love the BP kit, once I get caught up and rebuild my savings(was out of work for a year), I want to get a BP kit for my G37S. Enjoy your new found power

Some people start small and end big. I wanted to start big and end small. My powertrain was completely stock prior to the turbo except for a K&N drop in panel filter in the stock air box. I'm just gonna focus on getting the most from the turbo before I start turning to other things.

It helps with some flow but in a pressurized plenum it becomes less important since air is going to be forced down and not "sucked" into the cylinders.

You almost make it sound like plenum design isn't important with F/I applications, haha.

Not at lower hp levels. Once the upper limits are pushed then flow needs to be optimized to extract every last horsepower but until that point it really doesn't matter. 1* of timing or increasing the boost 1psi would do more to increase hp than a spacer.
