The SS box used in the Vortech kit is the FTC1 which has timing/fuel control. Here's a link with pertinent information, including how to programmatically alter the settings:

This is the same thing that happened to me. The only thing I can tell you is that after the E-Manage install and some tuning of the E-Manage and DFMU it went away. My logs from the WB-o2 also confirm what Jesse is saying. Its a very crude adjusment tool and its rich (bog) at the beggining of the slider and lean at the other end of that slider range. You can tune it out with a WB-o2 and some type of adjustable timing curve device. You may need to change the ranging screw on the DFMU a little to bring the last slider in a little later if you have a Procharger setup. If your running the Vortech kit...well I aint got one of those.
