Default VQ35DE transmission swap options

So after doing my build you really notice that 1-2 and even 3rd are REALLY short.
Is there any options for a transmission that you can bolt up to the VQ35DE?

Ive done some searching, but nothing really conclusive within the last year, Hoping someone has tried something new.

Id love to be able to throw a T56 in there. Be able to go 0-90 in 1st haha.

Im talking about gearing.
For me,I dont make full boost until 4500rpm. So at 90kmph in 3rd, im in my powerband, or 120kmph in 4th, hard to do a decent pull, its a weird powerband.

I just with there was an option to make 1-2-3rd longer.

AAndres how much power are you making? Something is definitely ****ed up because anything that dosnt hit boost you'll that late is going to break a t56 or is a sts kit, if its stss get a new turbo kit not new tranny first. Also even stock cams should make power from 4500 should keep making power from 4500 rpm to redline, outside of first to second there shouldn't be a issue, geta 3.3 FD to increase top speed in those gears. Sorry a little out of it from roxicet but what your saying isn't adding up like I said in the first two sentances.

options are to switch to a 3.3 final drive, increase rev limit, or get some very tall tires (28-30"). my car dosent hit full boost til almost 5k and 3rd gear is long enough with the 3.5 final drive. Easily >90mph

90kph is 55 mph. thats perfect for a second gear roll on. prolly around <6k, spin motor to 8k, shift right in powerband for 3rd.

I cant spin my engine to 8k lol
I dont take my engine past 6900. My Ign cut is set for 7000.

Im on a single Turbo GT35 kit, so Im losing power if I go much more above 6800rpm haha

Plus Im WELL out of my powerband in the 2-3rd gear anyways, I always haveca 1-2 seconds of lag.

I have 3.3 now (will install it next week) and I run 285/35R18.

figure out whats wrong with your car because you should be hitting boost before 4500 somethings ****ed up. my turbo is larger then yours and spools quicker then that, STR8's setup is FAR bigger and barely spools slower. something is wrong and you should be focusing on fixing that. you shouldnt need a 55mph roll your not making nearly enough power and you shouldnt be out of your powerband either, the reason your powerband is likely funky is because somethings wrong with your setup.

I dunno, Im having the same thoughts at the OP.
I wish I had longer gears lol.

Jerry, I am told that my spool is fine and Normal.
Im running a 3" single exhaust. Momentum headers, Momentum ST kit, Kinetix Intake.

This is a video from last year wheN i was only running 8psi.

4500 for 8 psi? Hell no you should be seeing that between 3-3500 depending on setup and ar. Even on my old 65 exhaust wheel and .96 housing I was seeing that much at 3k. If people are really not seeing 8 psi till 4500 I don't see how momentum could sell a kit with a gt35 I would say you prob have a leak or something. That or your going off first gear only which nothing you can do will help and swapping gears will just make it worse.

like i said no reason it should be that bad on that turbo unless your only doing first gear, even then thats pretty late you have something else going on, pressure test your charge piping and exhaust piping. thats essentially a t3 housing which is WAY smaller then my t4 housing and i think str8's setup is twin t3(could be wrong?)

video of boost gauge included would have been more useful i think you have a leak, that or that kit is way shittier then i thought

edit:looked up some dynos with boost logs attached and it seems other people are seeing 8 psi at 3500-3700 on the dyno..... with 10 psi by 4k and 12 by around 4200. kinda slow imo for a t3 but still tells me something messed up with your setup

Off topic but, I picked up a cd009 trans very cheap. It is missing the pivot ball, throwout bearing and fork. I was wondering if the internals would swap into my 03 350z trans. I will be removing it soon and was curious if it would work before i try it.

Thanks
