Default Blown fuse JWT TT KIT/ VINNY TEN RACING

I have the JWT TT kit installed by Vinny Ten Racing tuned with the split second box. i have a blown fuse that is connected to the main harness next to the battery. Can anyone tell me what this fuse is for it looks badly burned. I'm getting code P1212 & u1001 i'm concerned it may be burning my harness.

I'm pretty sure it's the power to the Split Second box.

Did you get codes with the bad fuse?

I'd check all related connections.

The code P1212 you are getting relates to the ABS/TCS communication line, I'm not sure what u1001 means as I thought all fault codes started with the letter P. Sorry I can't be of any further help but hope that this may guide you in the right direction.

You might consider putting in a relay(s) .

BTW: Have you blown any fuel pumps??...

Have you considered talking to Vinny about all this? He probably knows way more than we do about whatever fuse that is. Plus if he assembled/installed the engine he owes it to you to fix any oil leaks as well...

That fuse holder looks bad too... you should replace the whole thing. The point is for the fuse to blow not the whole thing to melt LOL.

Pretty Sure Tim is right that it's for the SS box... I had a Vortech w/ the SS box and had the same fuse there...

If that blew in just 2 months keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't go again...And make sure your tune is still good in that box. Not sure if a blown fuse can cause problems there or not... Plus, if that fuse was blown and you were still driving around would you be driving on that tune or would it revert back to the ECU?

SS box uses that much current? That's a fairly hefty gauge wire and I'm surprised the fuse holder actually melted...

I'm guessing the fuse is not blown if it runs, it's fuse holder itself that melted to ****.

I called Vinny Ten Racing, I was told that Vinny has no desire to correct any problems with my car. Vinny is mad because I told him he took too long with my build. When i took my car to VTR I was told it would not take no more than 3 months. It took 14 month the first time & 9 month this last time. Anther problem is I did not get the original price Vinny & I discussed in writing. So i was over charged. I spent over 20k @ VTR yet Vinny has no desire to look @ my car crazy. Vinny Ten Racing will over charge you, gave your car back with broken or missing parts & will not warranty there work. to make matters worse the JWT TT KIT i payed 7k for was used. I would not recommend VTR to my worse enemy. YES THE TRASH IS ON MY CAR SMH NO RESPECT
