Default Anyone using Cobb Accessport to tune FI??

Just ordered a Vortech v2 "Tuner" kit with fmu and fuel pump, but no piggyback. I have an Accessport already, but can't seem to find any info or see any instances using this to tune with a supercharger. Is it possible or recommended? Any feedback greatly appreciated. Not looking to go nuts with the setup, looking for around 375-380 whp on my 04 track.

I'm fairly sure cobb specifically says not to tune FI with the access port...

Please dont buy a utec(garbage) or the black box(garbage) 2nd post is correct. Try to at least find a uprev tuner. Even if you have to drive a ways

True, but that's not the OP's concern - OP has the accessport tuner and wants to tune with it. I don't believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that Cobb makes another instrument to tune a FI system on a 350z…whether they have the software or not -

uprev or haltech...

Tuning FI with cobb isn't much different than Uprev with FI (aside from better support from Uprev, as Cobb has discontinued support for the VQ35/37). With either platform you're still just remapping the stock ECU with zero FI-specific tuning parameters or safety mechanisms. Although for supercharger I think it's fine -- overboosting is uncommon and tuning is alot more simple.

Well said djamps... the same level, especially with the supercharger can be achieved . Both allow injector control and size..inj duty cycle, etc ...via a laptop. Cam adjustment... except total control on HR motors...not sure about that one.

Had a friend that used the AP to tune his boosted 370, ran great as I recall before he sold the car.

Cool deal. I ended up getting a great deal on the SS black box (thanks sracura) and will run that if i can't get the Cobb set up right. I would much rather run a walbro and 550cc injectors than the FMU and stock squirters. Just need it to run good enough to drive it across town to get tuned on a dyno.
