Default Exhaust Manifold/Turbo port mismatch?

I have the JWT530 "kit" engine exhaust manifold and GT2562 turbo with four stud bolt up. After performing some improvements on the turbos and before bolting them back on I decided to check the port matching of the turbo flange vs the exhaust flange.

This is what I found-

On one side there is misfit that impeds flow of over an 1/8 of an inch. I am pointing at it with a pencil.

Most of the JWT stuff is pretty good quality. This really surprises me. I subsuquently ground this off and its a nice port match now.

Has anyone seen this before or even checked it.

its a mass produced cast peice. I doubt they do any machining apart from facing the flanges.

Just like anything else on the engine, nothing is port matched
