Funny, I had the JWT and lasted about 30 drag runs and 15,000 on the street. Wore it right down to the rivets. Fried….

I do have to say though, that the JWT Clutch and Flywheel are a nice package. Great street clutch for mide HP, just would not hold up to my abuse and Hp.

FYI , "poor man's trick" to make the JWT clutch far more drag worthy is to request a "50/50" disk from him . one side organic and the other metallic. Face the metallic side toward the pressure plate. Lasts much longer and essentially costs no more. . Downside is the break-in takes quite a bit longer. but drives like the basis 100% organic after ~1k miles.

Of course upon replacement the PP is toast, but who really just changes the disk at RnR.

I have os giken twin disk on 450cv/45kg. A little bit on/of but for time attack and drift it's great (in Italy no run for drag)
30k km boosted and it's ok.

sorry to bump someone elses thread, wasnt sure if i should start a new one

im having trouble selecting a clutch for my 350z, i need a reliable clutch to handle 450wtq+ single turbo. the car is DAILY driven, not a big fan of drag/road racing.
I was recommended fx400 but the puck style clutch is harsh for my driving standards. trying to search for reviews for the fx350 / cc stage 3 / sbc stage 3 endurance, but coming up short. any input?

stock JWT is fine for that power level, unless you run drag radials and launch aggressively regularly.

RPS Twin here, easiest twin disc I have driven in a long time. Selling it soon to either go with their Triple or OS Quad. Yes, I'll need the clutch.

Biggest mistake people do is overbuy the clutch. That RPS is close to 3 grand.

My Spec holds power and isnt that hard to drive.
What spec are you using? Thinking of picking one up. My carbonetics twin started to slip last year. They want almost 1200$ to upgrade it to a triple. Thinking of using a spec twin. Need something to hold 700-750TQ. Any recommendations?

Curious what do you run and trap?

I didnt know Carbonetics was out of business, I was going to recommend the Triple as its been about the only part on my car not to fail.

from my understanding the clutches are still being sold by ATS

LINK

and I found this

For Carbonetic clutches that were re-branded ATS items, this includes the Twin and Triple plate clutches and the carbon LSD’s you will be able to contact ATS Japan - http://www.a-t-s.co.jp/ or http://www.ppi-ats.com/

Yes ATS took over there operation. I think ATS and Carbon.. have always been together in some way. My carbonetics clutch has ATS stamped on the back of it. For some reason the prices went up thoe.

sharif will know what's up with availability. that's who I would talk to about getting one. I know back when I bought mine... thinking 05-06... they had kind of gone over to the carbonetics name, but ats/carbonetics have been used interchangeably for the most part
