Default New owner with questions!

Hey fellas, I'm a new 350Z owner and looking to build *my* car. This is not a daily driver but it driven semi-often. I love customizing cars and always have. But I just have some questions performance wise, as I have never really tuned a car performance wise as I have visual wise.
My main questions are about turbos. I'm looking to turbo my '07 350Z (base) but I simply don't know where to start and I would much rather do it myself so that I truely know the inside and outside of my car. What turbo should I be looking for? Should I purchase a turbo kit or or buy individual parts piece by piece? How much can I expect to pay for every part from the bolts to the intercooler to the turbo? How many hours of labor can I expect?
Once I begin the process I am in hurry to finish due to me having multiple vehicles. I'm not interested or completely rebuilding the engine right now, I don't want a drifter. I just want an all-around fast car that will be a fun late-night or Sunday drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated, please include websites for parts purchases if you speak of them. Thanks!

https://my350z.com/forum/forced-induction-182/ Begin reading here. It does a pretty good job in my opinion of covering different levels of price vs functionality vs intended usage and purpose. Good luck.

I would first upgrade your lsd, and you probably going to want to upgrade your driveline mounts to polyurethane because you are going to rip right through the oem rubber. Do subframe bushings, differential bushings( I did solid for these bushings), transmission and engine mounts. I got the same car as you and I just blew through my differential subframe bushing and I only have boltons and tune. I would stick with greddy turbo or go with gtm turbo for 2007 hr. Buy full kit. Good luck with your build.

I swear it feels like some of the older members get bored and make a new account just to post stuff like this to get the forums going again or see how long till someone figures out its a joke. Either that or I feel sorry for where humanity is heading

Ok, I'll bite. Buy a Turbonetics single. It is hands down the BEST kit for the 350z/G35. It will make HUGE power and is super reliable. Everyone here knows it...

Nah, the Ebay turbo kit is way better and more reliable. Add 200 shot of Noz to counter the slight turbo lag in the beginning and it shouldn't be any problem for the stock block.
