Thanks EJ,

Not only that but Napa has that special belt we researched!

LOT's of them! 7/8 in bigger. They are all sitting in this wharehouse in Goergia!

I have placed a special order for two of them.
just in case! I guess you would have had to been here through all this pulley belt crap to get it, sorry but yes, it's GREAT news
and Eric has been helping me the last 3 calls so I was thanking him.

Yeah but they are marked as "Obsolete" so about 50 belts then they are gone forever, I stocked up

7/8 inches bigger so I will run the 41 and 27 for an exact 9 lbs

for those that don't know the normal belt won't fit this setup and the 41, 25 which was advertised 9 lbs made 11 on mine lol with a wide open exhaust, I dropped it to 41 26 and made 10 pouns and the belt is too tight.

41 27 is 9 pounds but I needed a bigger belt.

Why do you need a new belt to run 9 pounds? If you do the pulley swap like ATI says to do, you use the same belt that came with the kit. It's like a 21 speed bike. You get 21 speeds, and only one chain. No need to waste your money.

Because the 9 lb kit they sold me makes 11 pounds. Anyone else making exactly 9 pounds feel free to post your elevation and pully numbers being used in this thread. There is a thread here on pulley teeth with several people in it, did you follow that thread and post to it? I would have to check but what boost level, sea level, exhaust setup and pulley numbers did you get because I am learning I am not the only one making odd boost amounts and I am not the only one who recieved the wrong pulleys, it's all been posted here in writing. My pulley combo to make 9 pounds needs a bigger belts a Gates belt, I found one. The stock belt barely fits on the 41 26 it is chaffing and makes 10 pounds. If I go one smalled which is what they sold me for 9 lbs 41- 25 I make 11 pounds, so I am going one bigger 41- 27, but I was never given a 27 and the belt won't come close to fitting get it?

If I remove the 41 and put back the 38 it is seriuos labor removing the entire bracket and I lose 3 teeth and make less boost and head back towards the 7 pound range when my car is flashed for 9 pounds. I have tried several diiferent pulley combos with my boost guage and know exactly what I am doing, it's not wasting money it's fixing yet another discrepency. The 9 pound pulleys make 11 pounds on my car, on yours they might make 8 who knows?

Yeah, I am just repeating myself to people who want to question every little thing I do sometimes it was asked and answered but anyways...

I guess the new question is if you are running 9 pounds post your pulley combo.

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....0&pagenumber=1

Scroll down to Swinke's post then start from there.

What pulley combo will Robin etc run for 15 pounds of boost more or less, I am just doing the ground work others are also gonna hit this snag I assure you.

So ATI says you need a new belt? I'm not questioning what you do, I was just asking. I just know for a fact that you can use the same belt that came with the kit, for less then 7psi, and a bit more then 9psi. Good luck with the new belt, whatever works for you, works.

Hi Bill,

I have tried all combos and this is the only way I can make 9 pounds, others have made 6 pounds with the 7 lb pulleys. It could have something to do with my car being an A5T and shifting sooner.

Sure I could put the 7 pound pulleys on there 38-27 (never got a 27 thus this thread) and roll it *PAST* the redline to like 6700 every time and make 9 pounds but I think my way is better, which is a consistant 9 pounds in an A5T and no ATI doesn't tell you to change the belt but then again how many people are running the 9 pound pulleys and what boost level are they making with it? I haven't seen ANYONE post these numbers so it was all specualtion until someone tried it right, now we know. Thanks Bill!

Hey Max,

I hear what your saying, no one else has ran 9psi on this board, that we know of. Honestly, I'm not running 9 psi right now, I'm at 7psi on the dot. But I tell you, tomorrow or the day after I will be running 9psi and I will make a post about it and let you know what my findings are with the belts, some numbers etc.. I just have to install the e-manage and I've been sorta lazy. If what your doing is working, hell keep on doing it. Good luck.

Bill

Right on Bill!

Let me know how it goes, I do not want to go over 9 lbs but I feel safe at 9 lbs and found a way to get there, a long way haha.

I hope yours goes smoother, either way it is a noticable 30 RWHP boost and more torque that you are going to LOVE!

Peas!

Wow, all these issues and its just for pulleys.

Any Idea of what combo it will take for a 12-14lb pulley(pre-standalone)

And a 20lb pulley set (whenever engine management issues are resolved.)

Thanks Guys
