Piping I believe is all, otherwise the intial power levels boasted by the kits might vary due to normal consumers having their "high ocatane" fuel rating to be what...110 octane?

THe US spec PE TT is the same as the J-spec TT kit.

originally the IC piping was different, as well as the exhaust manifolds. but after doing the R&D for the US kit, it was discovered that the US pipes would fit on the Jspec Z and hence cheaper to manufacture- there is basically no difference in the two versions now.

the PE team actually went against a USpec pipe design for the IC -> TB, the proto was actually very straight and 4" diameter to maximize flow and replace the MAF sensor's bracket (that black cylinder with the sensor attached to it.. the sensor you can remove), the Jspec version (and now the production US version) keeps the stock MAF sensor bracket and has bent pipes to fit in the engine bay. poo! the straight to the air to the TB. the better!!

hope that clarifies ..

Is the PE kit shipping yet? If so, has anyone installed?

Cheston,

Are you going to put the Proto US-spec piping on your car, when/if, you get the setup?

Would TS be allowed to sell the other version of the piping as their own "upgraded pipe kit"? Just a thought...
