Vortech V3 vs V2?

Vortech V3 vs V2?
I'm looking at a slightly used Vortech V3 SCI this weekend for $4,000; the full kit, not the tuner kit. I don't want the full kit though, and would prefer a slightly used V2 kit for say $3,000.
In my mind, the V2 is better for track use and heavy abuse since you can cool the oil with a oil cooler, and upgrade the impellar to the 928 one for cheap. Also, who wants to change more oil than they have to?
Excuse me if this is a dumb question, but how much could I sell the extra parts from the full kit for? Is the V3 bracket and piping backwards compatible with a different blower? After the blower wears out, can I just get a blower from a V2 setup and swap that in along with an oil return line?
Should I wait for a used V2 kit to pop up for sale locally somewhere? I am planning on buying the kit, getting everything ready and installing it all at once, but I'm in no rush at the moment.
