I would hope the shop working on the heads has a flow bench and isn't just grinding away all blind and ****. Guess I just disagree that the engine wouldn't benefit from better flowing heads and cams. I'd prefer 750hp at 10psi. Just easier on parts. What do these heads flow stock? Anyone got a sheet?

Thanks for the great comments guys!! and jhonny I'm jealous of you I'm trying to finish this build but having a gf and another gf aka my car is hard to maintain at the moment haha. But Str8dum do you have a dyno sheet? Curious to see if the stock valve size can do it. I was going to go big thats why i bought the sleeves long ago but having 900 or 950 is great numbers for me as well. No one will touch the vq platform in Indiana since i have invested countless of hours working and building this engine perfect to my qualifications.

Again thanks for the comments and sorry for the late response 16hours everyday kills me also have another car I'm trying to buy at the moment Super car in the next 6 years maybe?

Agreed, Its been shown several times... But of if wants to do more let him be I guess, I mean I have engine sleeved too to max out my 76mm turbo...but wasn't needed, but i can try something else bigger if i wanted i guess. Also, I personally I prefer the 272 Tomei cams vs the 280 for drivability, have tried both..

Thanks for your input quicksilver...after 2 weeks of studying and researching and finding a reputable machine shop this is what i decided.....std competition ferrea valves already had bc springs and retainers...went with ferrea lock retainers and tomei 280 cams..since this isn't my dd and want the aggressive lope....i have already light ported the heads to remove the cast marks and polished them up...my next step is to polish the sides of the heads to give it that show car looks and then take it to a machine shop to make sure valves are lapped in property and to spec etc etc. Again thanks for the awesome comments and guidance guys.
