gtm build help
I don't like IPP because they outsource machining
Can you name all the shops that actually have an in house machine shop?? I bet there aren't many. Most all shops use an outsourced machine shop to do their machining. That is not uncommon at all.
; there have been a few complaints and failed engines over the years, the only common thread in those failed blocks was IPP. Hard to know for sure.
We have done close to 500 builds and have only had a few issues. I don't think you could name any shop that hasn't had some sort of issues over the years. I know of many people that have been running my motors for close to 10 years with no issues at all. I have built motors for other shops also that will vouch for the quality of the builds like Specialty Z, National Speed, etc...

I am open to discuss my builds with anyone. Or if you have any issues with our company, please feel free to contact me and I will look into it personally.

I had a short block built by dynosty. took about 3 months but that was worked into my timeline for a summer assembly. it is pretty stout and had held several 700 HP runs on E85. they do long blocks too. for your goal sleeving, it seems from asking around, is not needed.
Would you care to comment on the threads where owners have had 3 or so short blocks built by your company that all resulted in bearing failures? I will link to these cases if I van find them.
I have no personal vendetta with your company, but I've seen a couple of instances on this forum that made me personally steer clear of IPP.
As for "what company hasn't had issues" there are a few. Most of the ones that have had issues over the years have always turned out to be run by scammers and hack jobbers (gtm, forged, many others). This platform has been plagued by shops with lots of advertisement and hype that actually have poor business practices and shoddy/inexperienced machine work.

If you have links to stories, I can address them. I know 110% that I have not built multiple motors for anyone that have failed. Have people blow up some of my motors, sure. No motor is bullet proof. Even the best teams in NHRA, Nascar, or any other motorsport for that matter don't have motors that don't fail at some point.

If I built shoddy motors or had inexperienced machine work, you would have heard a lot more then just a few issues. I have been doing motors for almost 10 years now and have done almost 500 builds in that time frame. And I have a few customers that are still running motors that I built almost 10 years ago.
Here is an example of one of our builds that has been running over 600 Rwhp for over a year now with recent updates and he has been beating on it pretty good

hey guys i finally have my supension dialed in. And a Body kit on the way. but now i am trying to focus on my engine/drivtrain i want the car to be mainly a track and auto cross car but of course ill rough it out and cruise every once in awhile . i have been looking at the gtm long blocks probably the stage 3 i want it to be a forced induction car to about 650is wheel horsepower and its a 6 speed auto witch i would like to keep because i paln on getting the gtm stage 3 transmission with paddle shifters but i am having a hard time figering out a soild forced induction company that can put out bigger numbers. i also can t find a rear end for it or any one that builds some beef up componets for it probably a lsd and a final 3.70 ish or better yet a company that sells the whole rear end. and i can tune it or have someone tune it. and preferiably supercharged because i have a very expesnive header back exhuast.
Bump for little Kylin to jog his memory.
Another bump for 'lil Kylin...I like this guy, because reality quite hasnt kicked this kids *** yet...
right...dialed in...
ohhh...a body kit!
anything else the car can do for you?
why dont you go with a stage 4? 4 is better than 3!! or even a stage 5, still better than a 3!
must be an option on the JDM models only
paddle shifters!! fun!!!!
Me too, there are sooooo many to choose from!!
another feature on the JDM model...a 3.7:1
I think you should tune it!!
I think a supercharger would be the way to go...youre so smrt
I hope you have a credit card!!
definitely subscribed to this one!!
