ok i have been looking at running diesel oil in my build. i have stock block at 9 psi. holds 7 quarts of oil. was looking at Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W-40, .amsoil, Shell Rotella. not sure best weight to run an will never be ran under 30 degrees out side. all other post are from 2013 want new info.

 

Unless there have been some major changes in oil since then, what was said back then still holds true today. :-)

 

there is only 1 weight for Mobil TDT and Rotella. 5w40. I've been running TDT for years on my e85 engine

yes, tdt. my blackstone results look ok. i got rotella t6 cheaper, so I am going to try that for a couple changes.

with short interval regular changes, any good synthetic is fine though. e85 collects water, so change intervals is more important.
