Powerlab vs turbonetics
What's the difference?
Obviously turbo and some other component upgrades but Is the piping different sizes too? What makes the power lab so much more superior?
From looking at the pictures they seem to be the same or similar otherwise!
Can I get 450whp out of a turbonetics with a T66 upgrade?

Powerlab has the better turbo GT35R, It has stronger piping, better pipe routing, piping is/can be coated. The kit as a whole is more complete with better R/D behind it. Highest whp i've seen out of a powerlab with the GT35R is 626 on built motor with E85.
The only single turbo kit I would consider today is the Boosted Performance (unless you have an HR). DE and VHR (including twin scroll variants) are very well designed. I think there is an HR variant coming soon...
With the recent release of the 6870 turbo by Precision, it really opens up the doors for high HP applications. The turbo is rated at 1,100hp (110lbs/min), and with the large 1.32 a/r twin scroll turbine housing, exhaust back pressure should not be an issue.
To answer the original question you should be able to get 450whp out of a turbonetics build. If thats all you want I see no reason to go with anything more than the turbonetics kit. That should be the cheapest option, although STS is in the same price range IIRC. The routing for the powerlab kit is different. The piping is moved away from the front of the engine. This should help with heat soak a bit. It also comes with a GT35R or GT37R, which will definitely push more power and as someone has noted achieve much higher power levels. I haven't seen a turbonetics kit in person so I cant comment on quality there. The powerlab kit is nice and for the most part goes together quite well. There were a few issues on mine but with a bit of work and time it was all sorted.
For the money, Boosted Performance definitely is the best way to go. You aren't going to get a better turbo setup for cheaper that is as reliable and has as much power. SOHO Motorsports turbo kit is off the charts as well, but they're just way too darn expensive. Powerlab is better than Turbonetics for sure. There are plenty of options to pick from.
