Default 03 vortech build progress

So I have owned my Z for a long time and have never done much with engine besides intake and exhaust and test pipes ..always went from show to show and I keep it clean and it lives in a garage. I came across a deal on a new vortech kit for a REV Up motor. The deal was too good and I could not pass it up. So I started the build and I have to finish up a few things but here is the progress. It is possible to use a rev up bracket but you had to modify it and move pulleys around. But it did work. Anyways on to the pics and it goes to Dynosty on the 24th for uprev and tune.

Here she is before

Old nitrous bottle not for the build.
Vortech V3 kit uprev with 3.12 pulley
600 injectors
Dw200 fuel pump
Uprev gt MAF

Don't mind the zip tie temporary until I am done
So it still has to be finished up so don't mind loose ends but this is the progress so far. I ditched the fuel setup and unichip it came with because I also got injectors and pump with the kit. Can't wait to finish it!

Hose goes behind the Vortech Bracket. And may be different on the Revup? So what are your plans for the coolent hose?

There wasn't a groove for the coolant hose on rev up bracket. On instructions for rev up install it says to attach to cooling fan shroud. I don't like that idea. Just like I didn't like smashing power steering cooler against radiator so I made a nice bracket to attach it too. I forgot to post pic of that modification

Everything looks nice, gratz on the great buy. BTW you may want to replace that bypass hose, it looks like it is quite swollen. Would hate to see it burst on/off the dyno.

What are your thoughts about bypassing the hose like when they do a wire tuck?

You can get the caps at any parts store I cap them off on most of the cars I work on.

You can see the cap on the pipe in this pic. Name: 487B113A-F324-431C-B303-FB868F81609A_zpsl23lnq8y.jpg

I purchased caps to block it all off. I take it no one has seen issues with it? is it ok for street driving and track or? I also purchased the 1 piece intake pipe versus the 3 from vortech. looks a lot cleaner

I have been running without the bypass for quite some time now, plus deleted and modified even more of the cooling system with more still to come.

Just thought I would chime in on the coolant delete.

I have deleted the stock oil warmer and the coolant crossover on my car. I accomplished both by using hydraulic line hard caps (called yor-lok fittings on Mcmaster Carr). These are designed to cap oil hydraulic lines at 3000 PSI so they work well on low pressure coolant lines. Only caveat being that they are not removable, but they are a much better long term solution than rubber caps.

I also run Evans waterless in mine, but I have not seen any difference in operating temperature. I did have slightly more trouble burping the system even though I thought I had it mastered having done it four times.

Thanks! I've got to polish up a few parts from scratches when installing but no big deal.
