Default Wide band sensor location

Getting a bung welded on for adding a wideband sensor. Any location better than another? On many downpipes/testpipes I've seen it go on one side (drive or passenger) and between front & rear O2 sensors. Any specific reason to why it cant go after both sensor?

I have MD ART pipes & TDX exhaust

I was thinking adding before my XYZ pipe this way it would kinda read both sides, yes no?

Thanks!

The higher up the more accurate it is. I believe you should be having it in the 2 or 3 oclock position

So how would that work for the side without the wide band sensor

After the turbo (if any) far enough away to survive the heat and before the CAT (if any) and you'll be fine. Bank to bank differences are generally minimal and need not be accounted for. Keep the angle above parallel to the ground so moisture does not pool at the sensor.

if you're NA than it should be pretty close to the exhaust manifold, if you're turbo'd than it should be 18" past the turbine. Excessive heat will kill your sensor.

I would mount it in your X pipe (if you have one - doesnt look like you do). If you do not, I would mount it in the passenger side, as the passenger side will run leaner than the drivers side (as a result of the OEM manifold design) and I would yield on the said of safety if you are only mounting one sensor.

The 12 o'clock position is the best, the 6 o'clock position is the worst, consider 3pm/9pm neutral ... moisture will kill your sensor(as rcdash mentioned) so anything above the 3pm/9pm position.
