Default ATI Kit **exactly** 9 PSI new custom belt fits and it is thick!

I will no longer be dancing around at 11 or 10 PSI. For those that don't know ATI only lists one belt for all boost levels and you must remain under 65 teeth for the belt to fit right.

I couldn't make exactly 9 PSI with my pulleys (I have several.)

I came up with the idea to research a bigger belt (aprox 1 inch bigger in fact ) so I could go around the one belt size fits all setup.

This is not ground breaking, in fact ATI says to do this in their manual and EJ already quoted the reason and the ATI manual page as to why in another thread.

It took a special order request and a one week shipping delay and ATI provided the bigger pulley I needed and were given Kudos (and Kido's )

I am flashed via Technosquare for ecatly 9 pounds, I could make 8 or 10 or 11 but not 9.......

TILL NOW!

Not only is the bigger belt here and a perfect fit it is a heavy duty Sportline belt for extreme temp changes!

I bought several hehe but I don't see this one snapping any time soon, but just in case you know; because they no longer make this belt! It is marked as "obsolete" but a few are left.

I hope this helps those that involved themself in the count your pulley teeth thread as a second option.

You can do what I call "the pulley dance" and hope, or now you can find a different belt and know....

Just thought I would throw this out there, this is not a BOAST thread I lowered my boost to make **less** power, not more so I hope it is not taking the wrong way. Just trying to help. Here is a pic, it is worth a thousand words they say.

Hi,

It (the CEL) hasn't came back on in aprox 4 days of driving but this will definately help! Last I cleared it , it stayed off. Prior to that it was on daily, I simply started driving more aggressively but still not over the safety limits of my guages.

I think I was being too cautious in my granny driving hehe but hey it's Max who lost an engine we are talking about lol! Kia's were passing me and probably have kill stories on the net somewhere about "racing me."

I am gonna do a Dyno with A/F and track after some belt break in and EGT Guage watching! Thanks Cheston! Next week should be some numbers coming out from me both dyno/track, I just wanted it setup right before I went nuts like a track animal!

Absolutely Michael I will Dyno Jet with A/F next week at the same place I got my stock and CAI Dyno and previuos FI dynos to rule out as many variables as I can excep temp and humidty. I figure if I am good at the pipe then I know I am good at the cat where my probe is. It will be SAE at SF = 5 in 4th 1:1 on an A5T FYI.

I have to work through this week then it's valentines day so I would say Mon or Tuesday.

Congratulations on getting the setup you've been after!

Do you have any expectations/estimations for power at this new boost level based on your previous experience?

Looking forward to seeing the dyno's and track times.

Good luck!

I am thinking 390 rwhp anything above that will be butter, more importantly though more TQ. At 7 lbs the torque level for the A5T is not even race worthy when your exhaust is opened it is gutless and not recommended. Just being honest, open the exhaust and get a larger plenum, time and tune it and then run 2 more pounds and the torque is incredibly noticable almost like a 50 shot of N20, no joke. 2 more pounds is 30 rwhp theoraticlly, we shall see. I want more TQ for my 60'. I will kill it on the top end.

My goal is 12.2 in the 1/4 and I hope to hit it before Spring. Trap probably 116 or 117 mph based on other runs.

Thanks Doh!

Stop the press, is that tire tread? Man that is thick.

I think you will be safe with that belt Max. If not, you better look at chains

Good luck at the track. I still have another month before they open in St. Louis and I'm still not sure if I should sell the car? I've had a couple serious offers so I'm holding off on the valve body/converter upgrade for now.

Make us 5AT's proud.

Don't sell your baby consider it an unfinshed project that when perfect will be the ultimate car, I throw this around every once in a while myself but then I look at her and see how far she has come, and look at other cars and think what was I thinking?

I smoked a Z and a G35 tonight (both modded, side by side blue and white I80 Westbound ) like they were standing still. These were not slow cars, my exhaust isn't that loud (Borla) so they are still probably wondering what I had lol. Our SC'd A5T's are rare man, keep it and at least drop a low 12 before ever considering selling your baby. Those 2 cars are still back in another zip code I imagine, just think of what you could do WD? Gurgen called me about some new BREAKING NEWS info for our A5T's but I am on 12 hour shifts and haven't had time to even read here let alone call him.

PM him and see what the deal is huh? Iit sounded like good news for us A5T guys. My car is dialed. I just need some time off to tweak, and dyno etc.

I love the car. Its not about that. My problem is I get a little carried away. IE, its a work in progress and is never finished. I can only imagine how much I can spend? I'm at $43K right now and could easily drop another $10K without trying. That and the fact that I need a back seat are leading me in a different direction.

I have it on autotrader and this forum. I would like $38K for it. If I don't get it, I will try once more in the Spring. After that she will be a keeper and she will be turned into a monster
