Turbo build for the z
hey y'all i currently own a project 350z its a base model z 2006. I'm currently doing research because I'm wanting to do a single turbo build. me and my dad would build it together part by part. just making sure these are all the things i need for the build
-the turbo of course
-intercooler
-manifold
-downpipes
-external wastegates
-dump pipes
-cast oil pan
-intake
are these all the things i need for my build and also what size turbo and brand should i get and where can i get the rest of the parts for it thanks a lot would mean a lot if y'all could help

Why would you try piecing a turbo setup together instead of buying a turbo kit? The Z isn't something you can piece together like an Evo or some ****.

However, OP, if you and yer pops have the fab skills and want to tackle this job - and try to improve on pre-engineered kits - then go ahead and take a look at the kits and determine what's in them to determine how much you can actually fab up and how much still needs to be purchased, e.g., you're not going to build tune/ECM, BOV, injectors, etc.
Doing it a la carte is your call but having gone down the aftermarket FI road a couple of times now, buying someone else's time and engineering is the MUCH EASIER (but still complex and difficult) route to take. Trust me, the cars I force fed were MUCH easier to work on than a Z33.

Agree, out of all the cars ive forced, the z was the most difficult. Fitement is tighter than a nun!
The easiest has to by a new edge mustang. So much room to work with. So straight forward.
The z is like a 100 piece puzzle with pieces that arent exactly perfect fitement. Something will have to be trimmed, adjusted, stretch, or rebent at one time or another. Pain in the ***.

Hell, putting test pipes and headers on an N/A Z is bad enough.
