The ECU flash is something TS is offering correct?

I know it comes with the pump, FPR and injectors but if you install this kit with a stock ECU (ie out of the box) I'm wondering what it's going to be like, especially the AFR.

Just trying to get a feel for this against the Greddy. If I order either one it'll be from Japan as I need the RHD fitment so ECU flashes etc are a bit of a pain.

Cheston, one question, do you think the higher capacity oil pan would interfere with the TS front diffuser?

Hey Apsilon-

yes. TS is offering the reflash.

i've heard through the grapevine, that there are a few PE owners on the east coast running Motec engine management with this kit. stock ECU PE japan still states out-of-the-box is fine. with no boost increase obviously.. but thats something i'm not going to gamble with.

good luck. i'm sure with either kit you choose you will enjoy boost. it just so happens that this is the one that i've been working with. longevity of the parts, i think the quality of the PE pieces are very very nice.... so if thats a decision maker, then that would probably be one of the reasons for the higher price.

ether: diffuser issues? no. this expands the pan laterally. and its not really any deeper than the stock pan... the only thing changed is the drain hole is now on the SIDE of the pan, and not the bottom.... i will Double check this when i get the car back. and i'll get back to you.

When i spoke with Tadashi he said that the kit was somewhere in the area of $8500 because it is a complete kit with larger injectors, best intercooler, and all the other quality parts you see. He didn't have a price on install yet he said he's still figuring that part out, but it's an awesome looking kit, it fits so perfect in the engine bay. I seen the G35C version at TS and it was a really good looking kit. Cheston's one lucky guy!!!

VQ35Komp,

yeah, i seen the G35C version of the kit, the intercooler fits right in front of the radiator and you can see the ends of it on the two lower openings on the front bumper. I asked Tadashi if this was okay, he said at speed, the front probably takes in enough air so you wouldn't have to buy a new front bumper, but yeah, that middle part of the G35C bumper blocks like 75% of the intercooler.

Wow. Those manifolds are great, and the oil pan is killer! I wonder if PE will be offering that oil pan for purchase becuse I would probably pick one up.

If fuel controlled with just an ECU flash and a FPR? Is the fpr a rising rate regulator?

Congrat's Cheston, kit looks bad ***. Very well made. Only thing that I didn't like is the way the exhaust manifold merge. But everything else is very nice.

Cheston,

by any chance do you know what they are recommending for engine management if somebody wants to run the high boost settings.. on the Japan website they mention .3 bar (350ps) and .5 bar (420ps).. i realize you will probably be going with TS reflash, just curious what the official line is on the high boost setting... high quality components so a bit confused on the lack engine management with the kit.. i guess its bring your own
