today was a long day-
Tokyo Pop's film crew that does the Street Fury DVD series was in house today, filming my PE TT install.
here are some picts i took around the offices of technosquare. i got to finally see my production kit, and hold it in my hands!
PE's general manager, Yoko, was there, and she gave a good overview of the company. she is actually one of the most powerful people in the company, and she was really nice to me, so that was really cool.
a few notices about the kit:
the intercooler is made by ARC in japan. this intercooler piece itself, it worth over 1500yen
all pipes including the exhaust manifold are all hand TIG welded.
includes an oil pan that has baffles/guides to prevent sloshing of the oil during hard turns,
the quality of the parts of this kit is superb. i have never seen a turbo kit out of the box, of such high quality parts. the only thing cast molded was the oil pan!!!
well onto the images.
here's the parts line up on the display table!

Detailed picts of the Exhaust Manifold- note: its' all hand tig welded! magnificent!

The Twin Air Impluse Intakes. built-in velocity stacks!

The Intercooler Ypipe

The Cast Aluminum oil pan. Note the heat-dissipating cooling fins, the location taps for the oil return lines, and the interior baffles to prevent oil splash

The Plastic-wrapped PE1420s

The Film Crew from Street Fury with "Big C" Carlton Lewis, the host. (he's dressed in Yellow), Tadashi is in the white with the TechnoSquare logo, Yoko (the PE General Manager is also there)

and finally,
Me.. giving my equal share of the love.

hope you enjoyed it! more will come later. DVD will be out in june, is what i've been told to believe
the street fury guys were bad ***, handed out tshirts and their previous dvds n stuff.
the rest of the install will finish tomorrow- and tuning/dyno will be done friday

Congrats Cheston and can't wait for the Dyno!
It's gonna be a beast! I would love one of these.
Can I trade in my 03 and start over with an 04 P.E. TT?

Cheston so happy for you man!
Quick question
The Intercooler looks small enough that it will fit inbetween the front support brakets (that the bumper bolt on to)
Are you going to be able to keep those in place ?

kit comes with higher flow fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, and new injectors (and optional ecu reflash)
the intercooler bolts onto the stock support beam behind the front bumper, the only real relocation is the power steering cooler-
the main delay in the delivery of the kit is due to the fact everything is hand made and inspected prior to shipment. each IHI turbos are serialized so they can be traced to the kit, so i believe there is a manufacturer's warranty.
as for the rumors around saying there is no instructions that come with the kit.... that is false. there are english and japanese instructions that come with the kit and are very very detailed. i was able to read the english one myself yesterday-
pipe clearance is very well done, PE took alot of the prototype cues and made each pipe fairly well (the only piece i dont like is the Intercooler Ypipe, in which the two turbo outlet pipes merge into a single pipe, that piece is a little hokey in design, but it does its purpose.
no real need for a BOV since the low boost, but i will be attempting to install the HKS SSQV post-IC, PRE-maf.
