Default J&S timing retard....

Seeing how my ATI Procharged 350Z is pretty much useless without retarding the timing (I have detonation issues), I need a J&S so I can retard the timing. Who should I contact for the best price on one of these? I wouldn't normally worry so much about price, but I just wrote out a check to Grubbs for $8,650.00 and I'm stretched to the limit. Any ideas?

Call John at J&S directly. If you get one through him, you have the option of getting the additional RPM based timing setting.

Whats the average price on this timing control box? It sounds like it might have some nitrous application uses.

It does have nitrous application

The price from J&S is $485, installation took me about an hour to do. Not really that difficult at all. Yes it is also useful for nitrous.

You will also need the $35 waste spark adapter module.

I think someone on here changed their mind, and had a system up for sale. Might get a good deal on one.

As to the nitrous question, yes, we have heard of people using it for that. I don't remember his name, but some V8 guy in Florida was using it at the track. He told me that he hasn't blown a head gasket since he started using it. He tried to get his racer buddies to get one, but they think it's snake oil. They keeep blowing.

I'd rather buy new....

Do you have a warranty with the box?

Whats a waste spark module and why do I need it?

So $520.00 to take care of my detonation problem...

I'll have to sell some stuff on e-bay, but give me about a week or two and I'll be giving you a call. Thanks for your response!
