I am sure you will be fine with regular ARP Studs for just 500whp, however I suggest on buying it just for the added insurance that the L19 studs will offer more reliability and durability keeping the heads all holding together to the block.

I was on normal ARP head studs at 494whp with no head lift on the dyno.

Although, regardless you should go L19's either way and not skip out on that. Also, on 91, I'd recommend 10:1 or lower compression solely for longevity concerns and the added comfort of less tuner error.

No point in living in the rear-view, but if I did it all over, I'd have gone single turbo from the start. I had ATIs procharger and nothing but good things to say about my setup ... but it was wasted time & money ...

No e85 for this kid ... too many things to change on my already complicated setup. I'll stick with 91oct & water meth...something that rarely comes up and I didn't know is that your oil change interval drops to ~1000miles between oil changes with E85.

If it was me, I'd go with the L19.

If youre gonna do the build the L19 is a solid way to ensure you're head stays put and they are re-useable if you have to take the heads off in the future. It'll add $250 to your build but it's worth it.

With that being said - no headstud will save your engine from a bad tune / detonation.

Sorry I just caught up with this post.
If your target is up to 450bhp you should just cap the torque below 370 lb/ft and your stock block will be fine.
I've had this kind of setup longer then most folk, but I'm forged now and going above 500. It's a lot of money for an extra 50bhp+.

L19. Without a doubt..and
uprev oil pump

the money spent is negligible when you calculate the money spent on engine build
