Thumbs up Found me a direct fit fuel pump and Irrad plugs!

6 x NGK Iridium 350Z plugs (one step colder heat) (LFR6AIX-11) = $59.94
1 x Walbro 255L/HR Fuel Pump (GSS342) = $119.99
------------------------------------------------------
Sub-Total: $179.93
Federal Express (1 x 17lbs) (Home Delivery (3 days)): $12.39
Total: $192.32

Is that a deal or what? Pump and six NGK Irrads shipped 3 days for less than 200!!!!

What should I gap my plugs at for the ATI at 9 PSI? I had them at .37 and the dyno chart was smooth as butter at 5.
I know others have went from 39 all the way to .30.

Suggestions?

Stock is on the left, Wlabro on the right, this is a direct swap pump.

I left the gap on the denso alone. it came with .40 and there is no problem. I would suggest leaving them at the gap they were sent. As for the fuel pump I ordered the exact one you did. Glad to here its a direct fit. Hopefully this will fix my lean condition up top and mabe run a little more boost. Now I think I am going to aim for the 450rwhp mark considering my a/f was pretty low in the lower rpms. Hoping cams and a little more boost will do it. Good luck with your install. CJ

Thanks CJ, the site claims that the stock only flows 140l and that the 255 is good up to 750HP.

I too can set off my EGT if I wind it up past 6400 or so, but I have an A5T. I want that extra safety factor and edge at higher rpm's.

I guess I won't mess with the gaps. Keep me posted when yours arrives. My plugs are the new NGK's. 40 seems kind of high, we shall see. Mine is perfect at .37 right now.

You can get that pump off of ebay for 85.00 plus shipping. It's a great value. You can get the plugs from clubplug.com for 7 bucks a pop.
Heres a link. It does not matter which car is listed as long as you get the 255lph pump.

Concerning that EBay auction find a different one the guy has 42 negatives where he didn't send anything after taking the cash and has changed his names 3 times in months.

Just a heads up after I looked around at it more.

THat is the pump but it is not exactly a direct fit. The picture above does show why.

Default Check the reach on those plugs...

12SecZ,

...It's not the same as stock. Denso iridums IKH20 are identical.

Stock reach is 26.5mm the ones you specified are 18mm with a .59 gap.

I think someone tried that pump in their car, or a Supra pump and found it did nothing because of our returnless fuel system. I think Skidazzle told me that, maybe he knows more.

I don't see how that pump can do nothing. the walbro pump will most likely flood our fuel system. That is why I will be buy a FPR and make a return line. our pumps run 140lph and the walbro is 255. So I can almost bet now my system will run really rich when i install this pump. Skidazzle's setup is totally different then max and I. he is using the inline pump to over pressurize the fuel system. Max and I are losing fuel pressure at the top because our stock pumps can't maintain the stock fuel pressure. We have the program built in, its just not getting enough fuel. Cheston is running the same ecu program as I am (from what I am told) and the only difference is that he has an after market pump. His a/f doesn't start to go up after 5100rpm. Once I finish with the pump I will try to redyno sometime next month to see it was a waste or not.. Hoping it isn't and will keep people posted. CJ

Blown G where did you get the stock reach numbers? The NGK site has the LFR5AIX-11 listed as a direct upgrade. The
LFR6AIX-11 is the same plug as they list just one temp range colder. Here's the Link to NGK:

Thanks,
Gary

Ok now your talking about running a return line, I'm talking about on a returnless fuel system. There was a Maxima guy that did this on his '02 Maxima, same thing as our car, returnless. It didn't do anything but raise the fuel pressure a little bit.

Well I'm pretty sure they did this BEFORE they ran the inline fuel pump, and it did nothing for them, thus the reason they went with the inline fuel pump, to raise fuel pressure. Like I said I'm just the messanger, I haven't tried this myself and don't plan to.

As far the the pump goes it's already on Yancys car and his runs great I'd say, making over 400hp.

He had it tuned by Guru so he's the one with the answer if this will drop in or you need to shave Pulse width off at low loads/rpms to make it run smooth. It just depends on the reserve flow left in the FPR in the tank.

Bolting the Pump in isn't hard you just need to tweak the bracket or make your own to make it work.

Hi Gary,

I saw the NGK site too but I couldn't find any specs so I checked sparkplugs.com. Their info could be wrong but it's worth double checking.

Stock plugs:

NGK Iridium (one step cooler):

you got RAPED ont eh price of the pump dude.......everyone and their brother sells it for under $100.00

You'll see what happens when you go to measue fuel pressure after the pump install...fuel pressure will still drop even with this pump. Flow of the pump is not the issue, its the overall design of the stock system that is the limitation.
