Vortech$ vs. Greddy $?
I didn't mean to call you names or anything, I just get pissed when I see somoene ask a question, then they get answered with false info. This happens way too much on this board. I just would rather see true info, and if you aren't 100% sure then you should state that.

and I hope that you would take it easy, it was not done intentionally, it’s a mistake…On my side, there are no hard feelings or anything (I hope its the same on your side
); I just want to make the point that some people might be offended by the use of such language. It might discourage people from participating in the board if they see that members are talking to each other in such manner.And again, the only reason I joined this forum is to learn and share with others information, some may make mistakes (like myself), but that does not call for mockery
Regards,
Az

My take....
Vortech=$4300, Install/tuning=$1000, gauges=$1000. Total=$6300+ (see below)
Greddy=$6000, Install/tuning=$2000-3000, gauges=$1000, misc parts (boost controller, exhaust, BOV, timing retard, etc.)=$1000-2000. Total=$11,000+

Like I said before, you need to compare apples to apples. I'll give you that fact that both kits need some tuning and guages, and when you run the numbers again, you'll see that the turbo is about $2000-$2500K more than a supercharger in the same configuration.
Granted a BOV, boost controller, Wideband A/F will be part of my kit, they are certainly not required. I totally agree that a SC is less exepensive than the TT, but I don't think its $5000-$6000 less expensive...that is just not the case.
You guys keep posting HP numbers and keep forgetting the TQ number. The Greddy TT smokes all the SC kits in RWTQ by 14-17% at equal boost numbers. If you want the best get a TT.....
It comes down to speed costs money, how fast can you afford....

My opinion.. (like their aren't enough here already)
A supercharger is linear power delivery because its based on the crank speed. I also have many friends with Stangs with Vortech's that are ridiculous.....
A turbo on the other hand can be a little harder to control and although it provides more torque and possibly more HP it definetly needs more babysitting.
The answer is.. If a 350 Vortech meets a 350 Greddy... more often than not it will be the rear tires and the driver that decide the win!
.2cents spent!
