Default For all the FI Z's W Automatic Trasm.

I have a friend w a automatic Z with the Greddy TT system, he also have Nismo Cams, R/T Cats and Stillen exhaust... the problem is that everytime he goes WOT the car Rev limited for a second and then change to the other gear, this happen on all the gears... there is something that we can do? any ECU mod for this matter? I thougth upgrading the ECU with Technosquare, but I don't know if they put up the rev lim to 7100 will fix the problem... any of you have the same problem?

Thanks!

It's a common problem with forced induction and the Z and G automatics. I had a ProCharger on my G and it did this too. You need to shift in manual mode. It appears that the car just revs to fast for the shifts to occur before the rev limiter is hit. The shift points are very close to red line. A few people that have autos with the forced induction and the TS flash say they do not have this problem.

I have had my ECu flashed already and am going to add the Vortech soon.....I need to reflash back to stock...except the rev , speed limiters and the throttlebody position . Ive been told by a member here that all 3 contribute to shifting in the auto mode .So when I get it reflashed back to stock , I'll ask him to leave them as is

I take that back.....only the rev and throttle body position would help the shifting.....in auto mod

Does it only help or does it completely fix the problem?

That I dont know.....I will be finding out soon...just got off the phone ....ordered the vortech....getting it in 2 to 3 weeks...I think raising the rev limiter to 7,100 rpm's gives the tranny enough time to shift . With the SC ...the revs are going up so fast ...that it hits the limiter before it shifts... as far as the throttle body...I dont know what part it plays...just been told that it might.
