Default after install tuning??

dilema no.17a

i have found a very competant installer for the vortech s/c(scheduled to go into a new 2004 g35 coupe, i am hoping to get) but he doenst have in-house dyno facilities....

i called vortech yesterday, and they told me there is NO need to tune after (correctly) installing.... i asked them a second time to confirm this, and was told that the system works to adjust boost/ignition as the engine needs, so tuning is not needed...

how, then, does the r4 come into play?? i am missing something here

i am from the old early 90's vortech camp, with no mapping experience (on cars) and need some help here....

thanks in advance

sms

ps- i am assuming the procharger needs tuning as well, but dont know how the adjustments are made there either...

The Vortech programming of the SS box doesn't *require* tuning, but you will likely find that the car runs somewhat rich at higher RPMs at the expense of some power output.
