Question Is it a good idea to run a TT with UR pulleys?

I am in the process of saving up for a TT kit... and waiting for more options. In the mean time there are a couple of upgrades I would like to add. First, a Crawford plenum. Second, I was thinking UR pulleys, but don't know if it would be a good idea because I have been told in the past that I should only do pulleys if I keep my Z NA. Any opinions??? Thanks.

Plenum probably won't help you once you go TT but should be easy to sell.

Anyone else think plenum is a bad idea or won't help with TT?

Pullies and Greddy, no problems here. I also have the plenum. It didn't make a bit of difference. I dynoed at 350 - 360 rwhp, which is quite average it seems.

no difference? Have you compared it with the stock plenum and TT setup?

I've been in one other Greddy w/ stock plenum. It didn't feel different at all. And a lot of people are making 350 or so w/ stock plenum, so I assume the crawford doesn't make that much difference. However, not being an expert, I could be wrong, but it didn't seem to matter what plenum was on there. It seems all the HP is being held up in stock cats.

with the turbo kits currently out there, given their boost levels (and the mere fact that air is beign fed into the engine as opposed to an NA engine, where its sucking it in), intake mnaifold design is far less important.

Thanks for the info. On a side note... anyone see any problems with a lightweight flywheel with a TT kit?

You will want a clutch to accomodate the new HP and Torque your engine will put out. But while ya at it, throw on a flywheel for more gain.
