Default Stock Vortech Maps

here are the untouched maps as they came from vortech, kinda weird, hard to make sense of how to adjust.

Is the boost PSI listed there based off absolute or is it differential?

Reason I ask is because I don't see any timing adjustments until 8.5 PSI. If that's the case then people running the stock PSI levels aren't getting any timing adjustments from the stock maps.

K thanks. So now the question is, why do they even have the SS box if it's not retarding timing at stock PSI levels? I mean it's nice that they included it if you go to 8.5 PSI, but if you're running the stock boost levels, it's not doing anything.

Vortech also claims that the SS box doesn't control fuel either. Oh well, just trying to understand what the SS box is doing.

OK, I've looked at the timing graph 10 times now. The first time I see it retarding timing is at 8.5 PSI @ 5000RPM

Clue me in, what am I missing?

The first thing i notice is that it based on Gauge pressure and not Vacuum/Pressure and it starts to read at Over pressure 8.1

Change the settings to Vacuum/Pressure and set Over pressure to 1 and the numbers make sense.

Basically its pulling 1 degree at 5,000, 2 at 5,500, 3 at 6,000 and 6 at 6,500 under 7lbs of boost over 7 lbs of boost 6,000 rpm jumps to 4..........8 degrees dosent come in to play untill you hit 9.5lbs of boost, safety feature in case peeps change pulleys i see!!!

well now I can see why enthuzed got 393rwhp...........less timing being pulled and right around 12.5:1 A/F untill he hits 5,000rpm then he dumps fuel to bring it down to under 11.5:1.............very interesting.

I certainly wouldn't recommend taking out less timing than the out-of-the-box program! My suggestion for A/F is 12.0 from 3500 to 5500 then drop to 11.5 @ 6500 rpms.

for one 393 rwhp is on 93 octane. i hope you are lestening real close because my car pinged right around 5000. i took out another 1 degree. i don't no how much you guys really know how this box works. at 100 rpm past any cell it is looking to the next cell. example, at 5100 rpm the box is reading what number is in the 5500 rpm box. if anybody wants info on box give me a pm.
