Vortech s/c fueling thread...
brethern---
as the magic day (slowly!!) approaches, i am trying to get all the bases covered, and questions answered, BEFORE we negin the install/setup...
flashback 1994/5..... vortech s-trim blower, 1993 lx5.0l... kkit went in easy, BUT the t-rex fuelpump (inline assist mostly, oem remained intank) was jus aweful, and would howl and screech and WOT and idle respectively..... also the t-rex jus didnt give me the adequate safe amount of fuel pressure needed, when i upgraded the output (via pulley), so it had to go......
we tried several non-oem types, with each having issues..... finally landed the bosch external pump (oem intank removed and a pick-up only used)... the bosch 80gal/hr held the pressure well, and wasnt too loud (unless the tank was under ¼ full)......
flashforward to today...
the kg35 kit has an inline assist pump, similar to the old t-rex i bet.....
so,.....
1) is it virtually quiet??
2) MORE than capable??
or,.....
3) would a warlbro 255lph hi-flow pump, that replaces the oem intank unit, be the better choice?? (eliminating the secondary unit)??
***any ideas/opinions welcome, as usual; i jus dont want to have a noisey pump again, if avoidable....
