What fuel rails are out for the VQ35?
I was thinking of increasing the boost and am looking around for a decent fuel rail for our motor. Will the stock fuel rail suffice with the stock pump, 440cc injectors if the goal is ~ 425rwhp? Thanx guys.
The fuel rails are fine. I would re-plumb the fuel lines and upgrade the fuel pump to a walbro, and install a 1:1 FPR.
Billet core fuel rails won't work on the Z because of the lack of clearance with the lower plenum. They would have to be totally custom. I really think the stockers are fine if you can get the fuel to them.
I don't see why you couldn't hit 425 rwhp at ~ 8 psi and a good fuel tune / exhaust, etc.

I never change the rails or the FPR on any car I work on unless you're going for over 1000 HP or something obscene. The stock rails are designed very well and when you see what it takes to design and test that rail I wouldn't trust just anyone to churn out a "billet" rail and have it be an improvement. No manufacturer of aftermarket parts has the machinery and test equipment to properly design and test a good fuel rail like the OEM companies do.
this is especially true on a Z..not an easy aftermarket rail solution, thats for sure.
Only car I saw that had them was an all out NA setup by HKS that used ITB's and their aftermarket rails - none of which are, or will be production pieces.
