intercoolers and greddy tt
what other intercoolers would work with the greddy tt and not require removal of the front support. this is a major downside to this kit to me especially after that guy with the g35 was killed in a frontal impact after removing the support. Im looking for any big cooler that can handle 500-600 hp safely.
The intercooler is not the only problem. A pipe leading to one of its two inlets blocks the piece supporting the left side of the bumper brace. In addition to the intercooler, different tubing would have to be made.
I tried researching a solution to this as well, but could not wretch reliable flow statistics out of any of the intercooler core manufacturers, and found that intercooler resellers will claim wildly differing CFM for the same core. The only thing I learned from my research is that the whole industry is full of BS.

No...only the Greddy kit requires removal of the brace. The other kits do not..you keep the stock brace.
I wouldnt read too much into the tragic G35 incident. Lack of the brace isnt what killed him. I was a really bad crash, and the airbag switch was not connected. I am not saying that the airbag would have save him, but it probably contributed to his injuries. In a crash, the brace provides minimal safety. In a frontal collission, the entire front engine compartment is design to completely collapse to absorb impact.
I would be more concerned with something like a minor fender bender, which would result in the total destuction of the intercooler, and my radiator...at a minimum. 10mph is enough to crush both without the brace.
So I drive very carefully.
