Alright I have been studying this forum for some time now and considering the Vortec supercharger as my next mod (and the last for a while). I'm setteled on what brand (Vortec) but wanted to know if any one had anything that had not expected. Extra parts or install wise. And how well has this been for a daily driver if any body is useing thier vehical as such. Things that come to mind is gauges (fuel,boost), 5v a/f meter, dyno time, and ss programe. I will be installing the kit myself. So any thoughts are welcome.

I installed mine myself and I drive the car everyday to work. There are no real major suprises during the installation. The only extra parts that I had to buy were hose clamps because I didn't have the tool to crimp the clamps that came with the kit and a vacuum line adapter since the BOV vacuum port is larger than the hose they supplied. Oh, and you will have to by a 3/8" NPT tap.

 

Did you use copper plugs or still utilizing the factory plugs or other?Thanks for the info. Mike
