Greddy Support Tool--Screen Shots and Review

I've been playing with the Greddy Support Tool for a few minutes, and I have to say...this is a kick-*** tool.
The support tool can do everything that that the e-o1 can do, but is far easier to use. In addition, to viewing and changing maps, you can also view and datalog ALL of the eManage inputs and outputs simultaeously. You can also graph them, and even do a map trace while driving the car. So if you are lean in a certain area, you can quickly determine which cells you need to add fuel. I like this tool!!!
Here is a screen shot of my fuel and timing maps.

So the cable works.. cool might have to order one. GQ_626 always working on something with the Z. You are going to be a walking encyclopedia regarding the Greddy TT for the Z33.

The install is very straighforward. Once you have the software, you just install it on your laptop...as you would any other software.
Then you turn off your ignition, plug the USB side of the cable into the eManage (remove the Profec e-01 USB cable), and plug the serial side into your laptop. Turn on the ignition, then launch the software...that's it! Once the software is up, and while connected to the eManage, you'll need to first "import data" which will download the data from the eManage into your laptop. Then you can make changes...bla...bla...blah.....and then export when done. I am pretty sure it also can make changes in real time...but I havent gotten that far yet. You'll have a continuous real-time connection to the eManage, so you can drive around with the laptop and software running....or run it on a dyno. The trace feature is my favorite....I'll try to get a screen shot of that later.
Question for the technically savy. How can I create an adaptor that would allow me to keep the profec's USB cable connected to the eManage while connecting my support tool cable as well. The Emanage only has one USB port...and I am afriad using an adaptor would cause a conflict. Is there a way I could create a simple cable extension to that I dont have to pull the carpet and kick panels every time I need to use the Laptop??
350Now...yup that $50 clone cable works great...if anyone wants the guys email address...just PM me.

chazzg...great idea. Tony (wild350z) is actually going to run the support tool software on his in car PC....should work.
The only thing you cant do with the software is increase the boost...for that..youd still need the Profec. But i suppose you could just get a more basic boost controller for that purpose...such as the Prfoec SpecII.

Beside the ability to boost, you also lose the 2 bar MAP sensor that comes with the E-01. In case you want to start building map vs. rpm maps.
I think all can be replace though with a Profec Spec-B and a separate map sensor + harness.

The software is useless without the greddy support tool cable...or the $50 clone that I picked up. You cannot use a standard USB to serial cable, since Greddy embeds a special coded chip in the serial portion of the connector. Also, you cannot buy the original Greddy Support tool cable without buying the full support tool...which includes the cable for $119 or so.
Just an FYI.

that yahoo group also has good information about converting your log files to csv files if you want to view the data outside of the support tool. (Excel or whatever).

If you don't have a yahoo sign-in, you'll have to create one to be able to join the group and get access to the files section. It's kind of a pain in the ***....
so if you don't want to do that, i've put them up on my web site http://liljerk.morpheus.net/350Z/
just right-click on eManage Data Converter Excel Macro and save it somewhere, when you open it up be sure to have macros enabled otherwise it won't work. Just click on the e-manage data converter button on the toolbar.
Also, if you're interested, there's the "how-to crack emanage log files" word document which explains how it all works.
