I am very interested in the vortech sc unit for my 03 5AT. Anybody have this unit on an automatic? Im worried about the issues I will have with shifting....and also what tuning needs to be done to get the most out of this unit. What is the R4 software i have read about and where do i get it. Im assuming a TS ecu reflash will be a must to raise the rev limiter. Any info is appreciated.

 

There are some posts on this. I believe if you do a "Member Search" for "Booger" you will probably find the answers. You can also send him "PM". There is a shift problem in the "Auto" mode if you go to WOT. No problem in the "Manual Mode".

In a "PM" he sent me he suggested sending the ECU to TS and having them do three things only. Raise the rev limiter to 7200, get rid of the speed limiter and set the throttle body to 100%.

Don't know if there is someone in your area that is working with TS.
