JWT Oil Pan Spacer

JWT Oil Pan Spacer
The install was pretty straight forward. The guys from Z1 Motorsports did the install. It took them about 20-30 minutes. The took off the oil pan, cleaned all the surfaces, silicon, and put it all together.
I don't have an oil telp gague, but my water temp is now lower, so I am sure this is doing something .
Great mod, I totally recommend it.

I added this as well to my Greddy kit. For $100 it is definitely a worthwhile mod. We had to bend the Greddy oil return line to get the Greddy pan back on. Just fyi for the Greddy guys.

in the pic on their site, it shows something that looks like a spacer for the pickup... it is the shiny metal thing inside above the 2 long bolts..
see here:
when looking at the shop manual, this is the same shape as the stock pickup.... are you sure this does not lower the pickup?
m
edit: here is a pic from the service manual.. notice the oil strainer has the same shape/size. seems to me like JWT includes a spacer for the strainer, to lower it the same amount.

pan spacer
zxsaint..
The spacer sold by JWT is intended to simply add oil capacity .
The version with oil line taps is intended to "only" be sold with the upcoming TT kit. So if you want to avoid drilling the upper pan for Vortech etc., you would need to buy this spacer and modify it. You would need to drill ,tap and add a "J" shaped pipe into the inside to get the drain level above the OEM oil level.
Maybe Jim W will change his marketing plans and sell the TT pan individually if enough people show interest?

Michael is right. It does come with the extension for the pick up, at least mine did.
As far as the oil tap lines, you cannot buy them pre-drilled even though pics on the website show it. This will not be release until the JWT TT kit is released.

We've never done this yet... But looks like I need to try one of these. I just checked the warranty manual for install times. Book shows less than an hour to R&R the lower oil pan... BUT if you want to add the part for the oil pick up you need to add almost 3 hours????? Am I missing something here...

jeff: should only take 15 more minutes. this includes removing the 2 bolts, lowering the strainer, cleaning it off, reapplying RTV sealer, and re-bolting with spacer in place....
