booger, what does it look like if the cat is bad? I took my R/T's off a couple of weeks ago and something is clunking around in the passenger side cat. The driver's side dosen't seem to clunk.

thanks

I had an RT cat that clunked a few years ago. What happened was the monolith (honeycomb) came loose and was rattling around inside the SS housing. My vendor replaced it for free.

Sorry Booger... At least you know what it is now. When my RT cats failed it delayed me over a week trying to find out what the problem was.

My advise... Call around and see when you can have new cats sent out to you. I would not keep the RT's on my car even if they are straight through simply because they are smaller in diameter than other straight pipes. (not to mention the sound) As long as you have pics, I'm sure RT will take them back. I would see if Stillen will refund your money. I suspect they will.

I did call Stillen and they told me to send the cats to them and they would send to RT . Could have the car down for a day or 2 but no longer .So I'll put up with the rasp for awhile .I do like the sound now when its below or above the raspy rpms . Getting the cog belt tomorrow and I'll be good to go . Did a 13.2 @105 and I think the cats were holding me back some before they collapsed completely. The tracks around here are slow compared to yours at the west and east coast

13.2 is not bad at all for the first time at the track. I got a 13.1@105 (supercharger and exhaust only) while shifting at 4.5RPM's. (severe shifting issues). Next time at the track I'm hoping for at least 1 second better with the new goods
